A different view of the Eureka Tower, at this point in time the southern hemisphere’s tallest building, located at Southbank, just south of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s CBD. Viewed from underneath the Time Out Federation Square restaurant’s alfresco dining umbrellas.
Affogato, one of my favourite desserts. Served like this at Time Out restaurant at Federation Square in Melbourne’s CBD. You’re supposed to also eat the beans, which I do, and they certainly add that extra definition of texture and flavour to this dish. Highly recommended. The reflection in the spoon is of their bright orange umbrellas in their alfresco dining area.
NO, this is not a mis-spelling! It is the name of one of Melbourne’s iconic sweetsmakers. Having a small shop in Royal Arcade, Bourke Street, in Melbourne’s CBD, you can watch them make their wonderful handmade rock candy throughout the day. Here’s a link to their website: http://www.suga.com.au/ — watch the video to see how it is made; it will amaze you how they get the text and designs within. Here are a couple of photos inside the shop. Enjoy!
I don’t know the name of this plant, but I was so taken with its fiery qualities when I saw it, I just had to take a pic. Beautiful isn’t it!
…attached to my old LG cellphone. These cellphone ornaments are very popular amongst Asian folk, I’ve noticed. The symbol thereon is appropriate for my birthdate.
